| dc.description.abstract | Abstract This research is on the legacies of the Satiru revolt and its wider impact on the Rural Areas of Bodinga and Dange-Shuni communities. The research utilized the vast primary data in respect of the conflict which was blended with other secondary sources for the work. The legacies of the conflict which are entrenched within the communities are a valuable resource of the Satirawa descendants. The descendants of the survivors successfully preserved their version of the events and forged an identical community with all its features, norms and values which were the key variables of this research. The legacies of the conflict are the cradle of some social crisis that had been identified with some religious and conservative communities in the area. The research has uncovered the hidden impact of the Satiru conflict and its dynamic within the communities more than a hundred years in addition to stress and psychological trauma the men who survived the battle had to endure with during the early days of the crisis. | |
