STYLISTIC ANALYSIS OF ERIC OSAGIE’S COLUMN THE FLIPSIDE IN THE SUN NEWSPAPER

Abstract

This research work examines the stylistic features evident in Eric Osagie Column of THE SUN NEWSPAPER. It presents a detailed explanation to the concept of style and stylistics. The study further finds that there is a remarkable application of stylistic features of language in the columns examined. Also, a consistent style is maintained by the columnist as all the excerpts used to show that almost all the features prevalent in one column can be traced to others.
