S Tmparative antibacterial activities of aqueous and chloroform extracts from Acacia niloticapod was studied. The antibacterial activity of aqueous and chloroform extracts of Acacia nilotica on four chemical isolates of bacteria (Staphylococcusaureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae) was carried out using disc diffusion method. Chloroform extracts of pod of Acacia nilotica showed maximum zone of inhibition of 16mm at the concentration of 90mg/ml on Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogen has 14mm while Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae have 10mm respectively at 90mg/ml. Aqueous extracts of pod of Acacianilotica showed maximum inhibition of 12mm at the concentration of 90mg/ml on Staphylococcus aureusand Streptococcus pyogen, while Escherichia coli andKlebsiellapneumoniaehas 10mm respectively at concentration 90mg/ml. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the chloroform extract of Acacia niloticapod was 60mg/ml on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichiacoli and Klebsiellapneumoniae. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the aqueous extract of Acacia nilotica pod was 60mg/ml on Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae. The Minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of chloroform extract was 60mg/ml for Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae. The Minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of aqueous extract was 60mg/ml for Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae. Therefore, the Acacia niloticahas amtibacterial effect on the five chemical isolates (Staphylococcusaureus, Streptococcus pyogen, Escherichia coli and Klebsiellapneumoniae).he co
