Abstract

ABSTRACT This study conducted economic analysis of traditional processing of cassava among women in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun state, Nigeria. It specifically described the socio-economic characteristics of traditional cassava processors in the study area, determined the costs and returns to traditional processing of cassava, the marketing efficiency of traditional processing of cassava, identified the various technologies utilized by women in traditional processing of cassava as well as the constraints associated with traditional processing of cassava in the study area. The study employed multi-stage random sampling techniques to select 120 women cassava processors. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, gross margin analysis as well as regression analysis.
