Background: Job satisfaction among healthcare professionals is essential for quality patient care, staff retention, and effective health service delivery. Radiographers play a vital role in diagnostic and therapeutic services; however, factors such as poor remuneration, limited career advancement, and unfavorable working conditions may affect their level of satisfaction. Despite this, there is limited documented evidence on job satisfaction among radiographers in Sokoto metropolis. Objective: This study therefore evaluated the level of job satisfaction among radiographers in Sokoto metropolis and identified the factors influencing it. Methodology: A prospective cross-sectional study design was adopted. A total of 42 radiographers participated in the study. Data were collected using a structured self-administered questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics with SPSS version 28.0. A four-point Likert scale was used to assess satisfaction levels. Result: The findings revealed that the weighted average mean score was 2.72, indicating an overall moderate level of job satisfaction among radiographers. Majority of respondents expressed satisfaction with organizational structure (71.4%), interpersonal relationships with co-workers (66.7%), supervision (73.8%), flexibility at work (76.2%), and departmental policies (73.8%). However, notable dissatisfaction was reported in areas such as salary compared to job experience (61.9% dissatisfied), advancement in the profession (33.3% dissatisfied), and professional opportunities provided by regulatory bodies (45.2% dissatisfied). Overall, more than half of the respondents demonstrated satisfaction across most job-related domains, although key extrinsic factors remain areas of concern. Conclusion: The study concludes that radiographers in Sokoto metropolis experience moderate job satisfaction, but dissatisfaction with remuneration and career progression may contribute to reduced morale and potential workforce migration. It is recommended that policymakers and healthcare administrators improve salary structures, create clearer promotion pathways, and enhance professional development opportunities to strengthen job satisfaction among radiographers.
