dc.description.abstractOro is one of the many systems for ensuring peace and harmony among Yoruba people of the south western part of Nigeria. Oro festival is one festival that has survived through the years and is still celebrated annually. This research work is titled Oro festival; an exploration of the ritual in Oro festival. Using Iseyin as the case study. The objective is to examine the significant of the tradition and cultural rituals. The empirical part involve the use of the qualitative research method, which include interview, participant observation and Oral tradition. The study covers the preparation of the festival, the history of the festival and the different stages of the ceremony as it is practiced in Iseyin
