| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of American English on the ICT users of British English (case study of UsmanuDanfodiyo University).The study was conducted on UsmanuDanfodiyo University’s campus. The influence of the spelling system of the British English is that people mostly rely on the ICT to provide them with the right spelling, but they have forgotten that they may be using the ICT with the American spelling system and if you do not know the actual spelling the person just accepts the spelling that is being used. Secondly, Most people are yet to know the difference between the British and the American English spelling usage. | |
