S Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is the progressive loss of function of kidney and patient requires a long treatment in the form of renal replacement therapy. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the term used to describe the volume of fluid filtered from the glomerular capillaries into the Bowman’s capsules per unit of time, and is the standard indicator of renal function. Creatinine is produced in muscle metabolism as the end-product of creatine phosphate and is subsequently excreted principally by way of the kidneys, predominantly by glomerular filtration. Blood creatinine assays constitute the most common clinically relevant measure of renal function. The current study was carried out to study Determine serum calcium and creatinine in Chronic Kidney Disease patients. Creatinine was assayed using the Jaffe reaction method, 50 samples were analyzed (45 CKD patients and 15 controls). The average result of the patients had serum Calcium level 2.05±0.44 mg/dl, serum creatinine of 5.10±4.30 and eGFR of 48.02mL/min/1.73±3.57. Some of the patients were in stage 3, most of them in stage 4 almost at the ESRD, then some were already in the End-Stage of CKD. [Key Words - Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD); Creatinine; Calcium; estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR); End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)].
