Abstract

ABSTRACT The admission confirmation process at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has long been affected by delays, manual verification procedures, and the risk of document loss or misinformation, creating significant stress for newly admitted students and reducing administrative efficiency. This project presents the design and implementation of an Online Student Confirmation System (OSCS) aimed at automating and simplifying the entire confirmation process. Developed using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, the system provides a user-friendly interface that enables students to check admission status, enter personal information, upload academic credentials, and generate a digital confirmation slip, while also offering administrators secure access to student records. By digitizing document submission and verification, the OSCS reduces manual workload, minimizes errors, and enhances accessibility for students who cannot visit the university physically. Extensive testing confirmed the system’s reliability, responsiveness, and accuracy in handling student data and generating confirmation slips.
