dc.description.abstractThe Famished Road and Macbeth have been critically studied and explained in this project so as to understand the roles of the supernatural elements in the texts. The plot summary of both texts have been explained in chapter one. The aim and objectives, scope, research methodology, justification and significance of the study have been highlighted in this chapter. Also, brief biographies of the authors have been given. Definitions of the concept of the supernatural have been presented in chapter two. Definitions and works of other authors and researchers who have worked on the concept of the supernatural have also been citied. The roles of the supernatural elements in both texts have been examined and looked into in chapter three. Their effects upon the characters have been explained. A summary of the whole project and a conclusion have been made in chapter four.
