EFFECTS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT ON STUDENTS LERNING AND PARTICIPATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOL OF JEGA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, KEBBI STATE

Abstract

This research work is examined the effect of classroom management on students learning and participation in secondary school of Jega local government area, Kebbi state. A total number of 23 secondary was used for the study. The study also uses 200 teachers for the study. A self-designed questionnaire, title classroom management on student learning and participation questionnaire (CMSLPQ) was used to collected data for the study. Three research objectives as well as research question was used. Frequency and percentage was used for data analysis. The majority of the finding of the study revealed that: there is significant effects on student learning and cooperation of students in classroom, poor environmental atmosphere affect student learning in the classroom and caporal punishment affect student learning in classroom management. It was recommended that school management should provide a good environment for learning of students also government should build more classes and facilities in order to reduce congestion's. finally school authority should stop giving student corporal punishment for them to learn.
