T Microorganisms are known to cause different types of disease to both human and animals. The use of medicinal plant to prevent and treat disease is increasing. This study was aimed to determine the antibacterial, Antidiarrhoel activities of Artemisia annua methanol leaf extracts against Escherichia Coli, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeroginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. Agar well diffusion method was used for antibacterial activity. the result revealed that the leaf extract of Artemisia annua had inhibited significantly( P<0.05) the growth of the microorganismat 40-90mg/ml. Phytochemical screening of the methanol leaf extract had indicated the presence of Saponin glycosides ,Glycosides ,Saponins, flavonoids,Anthraquinine and cardiac glycosides. The antidiarrhoel activity of leaf extract of Artemisia annua showed the percentage inhibition of intestinal length(20-63.1%) atconcentration of 150-450mg/kg.The phytochemical detected may be responsible for the observed antibacterialand Antidiarrhoel activities.
