Abstract

Abstract Researcher tried to examine, Strategies for ensuring school safety as perceive by educational stakeholders in Secondary School, Zuru Local Government, Kebbi State. Four research questions and objectives were used. Safety and Trust Theory were highlighted, Researcher adopted descriptive survey method, population of study are12761 students, and teachers 631, sample are 5873 students while teachers were 322, researcher used research advisor 2006, to get exert sample size, students are found to be 258, teachers 169, parents were 80 while Zonal Officers were 15. Instrument are checklist and interview, it was validated through face and content validity, and checklist, cronbach alpha was used to determine reliability index of instrument, for students it was found to be 0.99, teachers 0.99, parents 0.83, while zonal education officers were also 0.83. Data was analyzed through SPSS, interview was recorded, transcribed, using cording frame to code data and link them in to different themes, Result revealed among others are most of educational stakeholders knows what school safety is, Some challenges to school safety are, lack of fences, and school facilities, based on this findings, its recommended that government should endeavor to build fences, provide and maintains necessary equipment needed by school, to ensure school safety.
