Abstract
The promixate and heavy metals analysis of three vegetables spinach, bitter leaf and fluted pumpkin leaves were investigated. The result obtained revealed the nutritional composition and heavy metals in these selected vegetables. From these research it is seen that spinach has the highest fibre and carbohydrate content which is 15.63% and 38.11% respectively. Since the heavy metals of the vegetables sample were less than the maximum limits recommended by the FAO/WHO, leafy vegetables form national source is safe for composition. Proximate analysis showed that the leafy vegetables posses useful nutritional contents required for healthy growths
