Abstract
This research is on the legacies of the Satiru revolt and its wider impact on the Rural Areas of
Bodinga and Dange-Shuni communities. The research utilized the vast primary data in respect
of the conflict which was blended with other secondary sources for the work. The legacies of
the conflict which are entrenched within the communities are a valuable resource of the
Satirawa descendants. The descendants of the survivors successfully preserved their version
of the events and forged an identical community with all its features, norms and values which
were the key variables of this research. The legacies of the conflict are the cradle of some
social crisis that had been identified with some religious and conservative communities in the
area. The research has uncovered the hidden impact of the Satiru conflict and its dynamic
within the communities more than a hundred years in addition to stress and psychological
trauma the men who survived the battle had to endure with during the early days of the crisis.
